Coconut Shell Carbon Powder is impregnated into thousands of small Micro Fibers that are thermally fused together creating a Modified Carbon Block Filter. Coconut Shell Carbon has much smaller cell sites in the fractionated carbon granules than Bituminous Coal, offering faster adsorption and more retention capacity of the Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and VOC’s from the untreated water than Bituminous Coal is capable of. The 1/2 micron Fiber Material Density, and Coconut Shell Carbon Powder combination provides 2-3 times more Volume Weight of Filter Material when compared to other Dual-Purpose Filters.
