- Pre-Filter for IWW Part # Q-5606
This 10 micron filter is designed to offer the consumer 2 stages of filtration in a single, compact, cartridge element, using Conventional Core, Carbon Impregnated Micro-Fiber Technology encapsulated inside of a Proprietary Plastic Housing to reduce or remove Sediments, Sand, Rocks, Chlorine, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and other large debris from untreated water. Minimal amounts of Small Bituminous Carbon granules are crushed into a powder and impregnated into thousands of small micro fibers that are thermally fused and bonded together around a plastic center core to form a Modified Carbon Block cartridge. This filter DOES NOT offer Graduated Depth Filtration, resulting in less filter material volume weight per square inch due to the inefficiency of cartridge design which allows the cartridge to become easily saturated and fouled under excessive Sediment input, and requires more frequent service intervals and cartridge replacement. The Bituminous Carbon is mined from the Earth and does not possess the smaller cell site structure of Coconut Shell Carbon, so Bituminous Carbon IS NOT capable of reducing or removing VOC’s (Volatile Organic Chemicals), Ammonia, Chloramines, or other priority level Hydro-Carbon Gas contaminants that a 1/2 micron Modified Carbon Block filter is capable of reducing or removing. Due to the inefficiency of this cartridge design, limited volume of filter material, and larger 10 micron rating, this filter does not allow for removal of any Silt, Clay, Fine Sediments, Cysts or Bacteria that a standard size 1/2 micron Modified Carbon Block is capable of reducing or removing. This filter would normally be used as a Pre-filter to reduce or remove Sediment and Chlorine from the incoming water when combined with other pre-filters in a Multi-stage Reverse Osmosis system, or as a stand alone filter at a single dispensing faucet. However, the consumer must realize that the Silt, Clay, Fine Sediments, Cysts, Bacteria, other debris, and eventually Chlorine Gases will pass through this filter when used in a Reverse Osmosis system, which leads to Fouling, and Damage of the Membrane Filter, requiring frequent service intervals and cartridge replacement. The Proprietary design restricts the consumer to only one choice of filter cartridge selection and one distribution entity when replacing expired or exhausted filters, which typically imposes a higher retail price and compromise in quality and performance.
Recommended Service Interval on Most Water Supplies: 1-3 months

- Membrane Filter for IWW Part # TQ56S-50
This .001 micron Membrane filter uses a Thin Film Composite Cellular Skin encapsulated inside of a Proprietary Plastic Housing to separate and remove Dissolved Solids, Salts, Minerals, Heavy Metals, Organic Matter, Pyroxene’s, Sub-micron Colloidal matter, Cysts, Bacteria, and other contaminants from untreated water. Water containing Dissolved Minerals and other Contaminants is forced under high pressure through a Semi-Permeable, Spiral Wound, Thin Film Composite Cellular Skin layered in several wrappings, to separate and rinse away the dissolved solids to a sewage drain, leaving only the Pure, H20 water molecules for consumption, production, processing, or manufacturing. The TFC Membrane skin has a broader PH tolerance than the CTA Membrane skin, it can remove a higher maximum threshold of dissolved solids, and removes a higher percentage of dissolved solids than the CTA Membrane is capable of removing. The TFC Membrane can be used on Municipal or Well Water with proper pre-filtration due the natural Bacteriostatic properties. The Proprietary design restricts the consumer to only one choice of filter cartridge selection and one distribution entity when replacing expired or exhausted membranes, which typically imposes a higher retail price by forcing the consumer to purchase a Membrane Vessel with Check Valve and Flow Restrictor, in addition to the Membrane Filter with every Membrane replacement. Typical Rejection of minerals and impurities for the TFC Membrane is 95%-99% removal, compared to 70%-80% for the CTA Membrane. TFC Membranes are used in Vending machines and Bottled Water processing plants across the U.S.A.
Recommended Service Interval on Most Water Supplies: 3 years

- Carbon Block Post-Filter for IWW Part # Q-5620
This 1 micron filter uses Solid Pressed Molded Carbon Block Technology encapsulated inside of a Proprietary Plastic Housing to reduce or remove Cysts, Bacteria, Fungus, Algae, Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, and Hydro-Carbon Gases from untreated water. Small granules of Bituminous Coal are Crushed, Pressed and Bonded together with a “PATENTED” heat molding process to form a solid BLOCK or Brick of Carbon that is encapsulated inside a plastic vessel housing. Bituminous Coal does not have as many Smaller In Diameter and Volume of Cell Sites as Coconut Shell Carbon to retain the Hydro-Carbon Gases, resulting in less efficiency and removal capacity of Carbon Block filters manufactured with Coconut Shell Carbon. The 1 micron Carbon Block Density assures better removal of contaminants by reducing the water flow or “Permeation” through the Block, and, minimizes water channeling associated with other Carbon filters. The solid Carbon Block provides 2 to 10 times more volume weight of filter material compared to other Granular Carbon, Block, and Fiber type filters by greatly reducing the porosity of the loose granules of Carbon, and void areas between fibers. This filter has also been known to be effective in reducing or removing Cysts and Bacteria such as Cryptosporidium, Cyclospora, Giardia, E-Coli, and Legionnaires Disease. This filter would normally be used as a post-filter for the Membrane Filter in a Reverse Osmosis system, or combined with other pre-filters in a Multi-stage Reverse Osmosis system, or as a stand alone filter for an ice-machine or single dispensing faucet. Other Carbon require more frequent service intervals and cartridge replacement.
Recommended Service Interval on Most Water Supplies: 1 year
