The higher quantity of smaller cell sites in Coconut Shell Carbon can react quicker to adsorbing the Chlorine, Ammonia, Chloramines, Hydro-Carbon Gases, and VOC’s from the untreated water, and retain these gases for longer periods of time than Bituminous Coal is capable of. The (½) .5-micron Carbon Block Density assures better removal of contaminants by reducing the water flow or “Permeation” through the Block, and, minimizes water channeling associated with other Carbon filters.
